Afternoon at Bull Creek - 6" x 6" - Oil on Canvas Panel - Available here
Day 22 - Strada Easel 31 day painting challenge. This afternoon I went back out to Bull Creek and finished the painting that was abandoned so swiftly yesterday when the storm clouds rolled in. The light on the scene was a little steadier today since I didn't have to deal so much with the sun playing hide and seek. It was windy, though, so I had to weigh down my tripod to keep my lightweight painting rig from blowing over.
Patricia Butler loves to paint. Living and working in Austin, Texas, she is drawn to the beauty around her and the challenge of capturing the essence of the scene before her. She counts herself very blessed to be living in Austin, which is a vibrant, growing city, and, with its multitude of lovely parks and nearby lakes and hill country, it presents endless inspiration. She is a founding member of Plein Air Austin, and enjoys painting with the group any chance she gets.
